1. Deep Conditioning DIY Hair Mask

Are you struggling with dry hair? Give your locks the TLC they’re looking for with this intensive moisturizing mask.

  • egg yolk
  • coconut oil
  • honey
  • 1/4 avocado, mashed

Mix one egg yolk with a few tablespoons of unrefined coconut oil, avocado and raw honey. Apply for at least 20 minutes and wash it out. If you need a deep treatment, apply the mask overnight and wash out in the morning.

2. Dandruff Rinse

This hair treatment is the perfect antidote to a dry, itchy scalp.

  • tea tree oil
  • Water

Mix 4-6 drop of tea tree oil with water in a spray bottle. After you wash your hair, apply the tea tree oil spray directly to your scalp. If your skin isn’t sensitive, apply a few drops of tea tree oil to your palms and rub on your scalp without diluting for extra impact. Don’t use more than once or twice a week.

3. Bentonite Clay Clarifying Hair Mask

Out of all of the DIY hair masks, this recipe is the best for clarifying. Clarifying your hair regularly and properly is a great idea, and is the key to keeping your hair looking good and feeling strong.

  • 1/2 cup of bentonite clay
  • 3 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • 6 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons of water

Add the clay first, then the coconut oil, in your mixing bowl. Next, add 6 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. Allow it to foam for a few seconds before adding in the water. The reaction between the clay and apple cider vinegar is essential to avoiding a lumpy mix. After the mixture has foamed , add 3 tablespoons of water. Stir everything together vigorously, until you have a smooth, minimally lumpy mixture. Apply the mask to clean, damp or wet hair from root to end, cover it with a plastic cap, saran wrap, or plastic bag for 20-30 minutes. Rinse out thoroughly.

4. Deep Cleaning Coffee Scrub Treatment

This DIY coffee scrub recipe is great for reviving dry, dull hair and stimulating hair growth.

  • 2 teaspoons of coffee grounds
  • 2 teaspoons raw honey
  • 2 teaspoons of olive oil

Mix all three ingredients well and apply to strands and scalp. Make sure all strands are covered and massage into scalp in circular motion for a few minutes. Rinse well and shampoo before styling as usual.

5. Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse

  • apple cider vinegar
  • water

This pantry staple actually seals hair cuticles to promote softness and shine. Use it as a rinse after shampooing and conditioning. Dilute one part vinegar to six parts water in a bottle. After rinsing, the smell should subside in a matter of minutes.

6. Hair Clarifying Treatment With Baking Soda

Clarifying treatments remove artificial deposits and product buildup, which restores the nutritive supply to your scalp, cuticles and hair shafts. And also creates gorgeous shiny hair!

  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup warm water

Mix ingredients and pour it onto your scalp. Gently rub the mixture on scalp and hair. Take a comb and brush the mixture down the hair length to coat all your hair evenly. Allow the mixture to sit for around five minutes before rinsing it off. You might need more of the mixture if you have very long or thick hair.

7. Deep Conditioning Essential Oil Treatment

This combination of oils will take your hair back to a healthier, happier stage. Plus, it smells divine!

  • 1 tablespoon macadamia nut oil
  • 3 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon rosemary oil

Combine oils in a bowl and apply it to sectioned hair all the way from your scalp to your tips, making sure to get deep into your roots. Massage hair to ensure that the oils really penetrate each strand. Leave on for at least 15 minutes. Shampoo and rinse.
